Informational and educational e-zine ICT4D together with initiative group of young programmers Tajikistan “CODE.TJ” in the “Hackathon” framework held its first event “meetups4D” on May 16, 2014 in Dushanbe.
“meetups4D” – is thematic event, which brings together specialists from different areas of IT to present their projects and products. The purpose of the event is to create the platform for young programmers, designers, and managers who are interested in developing their potentials, and having their own projects and ideas.
Events are held several times in various cities of the country. The first meeting was held in Dushanbe, which brought together more than 30 young men, five of whom presented their ideas and achievements.
There were several students of the IT school “MaSuD” among the speakers who are studying in 9-11 form. Bakhtiar Kurbanov student of this school, presented the concept of the program, which helps to reduce queues at public supply. The program is designed for devices or gadgets that will be installed on the tables, where visitors will be able to choose their favorite own food and immediately order it.
Another speakers were Gafurov Abuamr and Jalilov Anushervon also the students of “MaSuD” school. They devised the scheme “Virtual restaurant” – door2door.tj that communicates between the restaurant and the customer. The aim of this startup is to provide outsourcing services for the purchase of meals and food products.
Komil Rajabov, head of the initiative group of young programmers of Tajikistan “CODE.TJ” presented a program (Framework) “Nihol” which was developed by programmers of this group. “Nihol” – it’s easy and lightweight framework for developing web applications and web services. It is designed based on PHP and JavaScript. Simplicity and ease of use, as well as modular structure provides it flexibility and scalability.
Student of Russian-Tajik (Slavonic) University Bakhtiar Ghaibulloev showed mechanism of biometric identification in drawing faces. This educational program shows how such identifiers operate, and may also show by example.
The event was concluded with Farhodjon Pulatov’s performance. He presented one of his projects “host.delux.tj” – the most automated hosting in Tajikistan. According to his observations, currently there is no provider in the market which could offer fully automated system for providing web and hosting services.
The system works without interaction of service provider for registration and payment. This is the first hosting which gives test period up to 20 days for free upon registration. If you like the service, for future use you will simply need to pay fee using any payment terminals and will not need to go to their office.
Organizers of the event noted that such events will be held in Sughd and Khatlon regions early next month.
