First OpenCon 2014 in Tajikistan
December 11 at the conference hall of the Technological University of Tajikistan was held the first conference “OpenCon 2014 Dushanbe” organized by Information and Education e-zine “ICT4D” with the assistance and support of the Center for Information and Communication Technologies in Dushanbe, AISP and IT companies of Tajikistan, as well as by other event partners.
Only three APAC countries deemed to have internet freedom, China is least free web nation
The only countries in Asia Pacific reckoned to have a genuinely free internet, without restrictions on access or content, are Australia, Japan and the Philippines, according to an annual study by Freedom House.

Informational and educational e-zine “ICT4D” in partnership with the foundation conference OpenCon 2014 Washington and the Center for Information Technology and Communications in Dushanbe organizes satellite conference #OpenCon2014Dushanbe to kick start or continue to build the momentum for Open Access, Open Education, and Open Data in Tajikistan, and in tandem with others across the world.
